Clock - Carriage clock, with modified English pocket chronometer movement with spring detent escapement and helical hairspring, mvt maker signature is covered by clock's fusee assembly, brass case measures 6 inches height to top of upright handle x 3.25 inches width x 2 inches depth, unsigned silvered dial, KW and set via a stem and crown assembly added to rear, spring detent escapement with capped escape wheel, free-sprung balance with diamond endstone and helical hairspring, gilt mvt, s#2062.
CONDITION:
Mvt: NR, fully wound, will tick briefly with a twist, overhaul needed, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, numerous fine to micro-fine scratches, evident marring and sign of modification around area of detent foot attachment indicating likely past repair or replacement of detent; dial with some scattered fine scratches, small surface spotting; fine hands with some areas of oxide and finish loss; case shows light wear, some scattered small dark spots; front glass panel with some scratches, good glass side panels and top panel.
